FundFinchPrivacy policy

What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email, organization details (name, EIN, website, location, budget, mission, programs, funding needs) and your intake questionnaire answers.
- Payment information: processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
- Basic site data: our web host (Cloudflare) may process standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance. We don't use advertising trackers. Analytics: none.
How we use it
- To research and prepare your report or mini-report and deliver it by email.
- To send account, billing and service messages, such as deadline-change alerts for subscribers.
- To send occasional updates about FundFinch, but only if you agreed. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we honor requests promptly.
- To improve our research methods, using aggregated, de-identified information.
What we don't do
We don't sell, rent or trade your information. We don't share your intake answers with funders or anyone else without your permission.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run the service: Cloudflare (website hosting), Tally (sign-up and intake forms), Proton Mail (email) and Stripe (payments). They process data only to provide their services to us.
Public data
Our reports draw on public records, such as IRS Form 990 filings and funder websites. Information about your organization that's already public (for example, your filed 990s) may appear in your report.
Retention and your choices
We keep client files for 24 months after your last report, then delete them unless you ask us to keep them. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing fundfinch@proton.me.
Security
We use reputable providers and limit access to your information to people who need it to prepare your report. No method is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
Children
FundFinch is a business service for organizations and isn't directed to children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. For significant changes, we'll also email active clients.
